Redwood Coast Music Festival

Eureka's American Roots Festival, Eureka, CA

Third time's a charm! After having to cancel twice during the pandemic, the Redwood Coast festival is back and I'm counting the days (Doesn't a little north coast fog sound good right now?). The festival has put together an incredible lineup and once again I'm "Lucky to be Me", I get to share the stage with some amazing jazz and western swing musicians.

On the jazz front, we'll kick things off Friday with Marc Caparone's Back O' Town All Stars, and that evening I be with guitarist Duke Robillard for a special Duke Robillard Swings set. Later in the weekend I'll join up with Groovus and the Holland & Coots Quintet.

On Saturday night I'll sing with Dave Stuckey's Western Swing All Stars, a 12 piece group (now that's a full stage!) evoking the wonderful music of Bob Wills.

I get to do two more western swing sets with Dave, one Friday night with his band the Hoot Owls, and then on Sunday a special tribute to songwriter Cindy Walker. You may not know her name, but you know her songs. A prolific songwriter, she wrote many classic country songs for Bob Wills and others in the 40's-60's. One of the most recognizable is "You Don't Know Me", made famous by Ray Charles and many others.
